Student Housing Companies in Expansion Mode

Capitalising on the rising demand, leading companies in the student housing domain are in the expansion mode. The Hive Hostels, a premier student accommodation provider is working on the plans to add 3000 beds by the end of FY’25, with an investment of Rs 10 crore. Recently it unveiled its latest offering- Aurus Luxury Student Residences, combining luxury with practicality. Looking ahead, the Hive Hostels plans to expand Aurus by an additional 1000 beds. As part of its expansion plans, the company raised Rs 11.5 crore in pre-IPO funding and is planning to go public this year. It has also onboarded Crib Property Solutions to provide technology support for managing and operating its properties.

In a related development, JLL has facilitated a landmark student housing deal in Mumbai between Curated Living Solutions and BNMV Trust Partner to elevate student living. This lease deal marks a significant milestone in terms of size and quality in the form of Ivy League, a first-of-its-kind student housing hostel in Juhu, Mumbai purpose-built hostel by BNMV trust has a total of 325 beds in one lakh square feet of built-up area.
