Now, Buy Airport Metro line Tickets on WhatsApp

For its Airport Express Line, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has launched a ticketing facility based on WhatsApp.

Passengers can order tickets using the service, which was introduced by DMRC Managing Director Vikas Kumar, through a WhatsApp chat box powered by AI.

The facility was first used as a test experiment and is currently restricted to the Airport Express Line.

It runs between New Delhi and Dwarka Sector 21 over a distance of 22.7 km and stops at 6 different locations.

To purchase a ticket, commuters can message the DMRC's official WhatsApp number during the Metro's working hours from 5:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. and make the payment through UPI or credit or debit card.

Initially implemented as a pilot project, the facility is currently available only for the Airport Express Line, which covers a distance of 22.7 kilometres and includes 6th stations between New Delhi and Dwarka Sector-21.
