Spacious apartments in high demand across major metropolitan cities

Although 2BHKs are still most preferred, the percentage of buyers looking for 3 and 4 BHK units observed an uptick

The top six cities in the country have seen an increase in the preference for more spacious apartments, i.e., 3 BHKs and 4 BHKs.

While the sales have been growing consistently due to a relatively stable economy and improved personal finances, the preferences of homebuyers are undergoing a transformation.

Increase in demand, especially for 3 BHKs post-Covid, across age groups, including bachelors, families, and youth.

The demand for 3 BHKs (33 per cent) and 4 BHKs (8 per cent) across the major metropolitan cities has been growing since last year.

The rising inclination towards quality living can be attributed to the fact that 3 and 4 BHK apartments have better investment potential.

Real estate market in India is projected to increase at a CAGR of 19.5%, and is estimated to reach $1 trillion by FY30.
